Meet Joanne

Joanne Foucher is a Priestess of Avalon, a Moon Mother®, massage therapist, author and artist. Born in the South of France but originally based in Germany, she has been living in Glastonbury with her Beloved and their two magical children since December 2018.
The Goddess has called Joanne since she first read The Mists of Avalon aged 13, and has led her to travel and find the Lady in the land and the old stories. Joanne has a deep love for the standing stones and legends of the ocean in Brittany (where she spent all her summers as a child and teen at her grandparents', and where she still spends time every year), as well as for the myths of ancient Greece, Mesopotamia, Egypt and of the western European Celts. Beside many other things, this love has led her to living in Ireland from 2000-2001, training with Kathy Jones in Glastonbury from 2004-2007and dedicating as a Priestess of Avalon, excarvating in the Theban necropolis in Egypt in 2009, earning a master's degree from the university of Bonn in Prehistorical Archaeology and Comparative Religions in 2010 and to visit sacred sites all over Europe through the years, including palaeolithic caves and mesolithic temples in Germany as well as megalithic tombs, alignments and stone circles in France, Ireland and the UK and the beautiful Goddess temples and temple-palaces in Greece, Crete and Malta.
To Joanne, archaeology is an opportunity to look through a window into the past and let those old ways of worshipping Goddess inspire how we live our lives with Goddess now.

Joanne's healing work is centred in honouring and strengthening women's sacred womb centre: In 2015 Joanne received the Moon Mother® initiation by Miranda Gray, founder of the World Wide Womb Blessing®, and in 2017 she earned her qualification to give Fertility Massage / Women's Massage after Birgit Zart.
