Unsere heimischen Göttinnen neu entdecken

In her non-fiction book Joanne brings together her academical knowledge of the goddesses who were once worshipped in what is today Germany with her lived experience of being a priestess.
Simplifying things, these are goddesses from norse/germanic, celtic and slavic traditions as well as goddesses who predate those cultures. Their names are lost and echo only as memories in their sacred places - standing stones, caves and places in nature. Some of the documented names are well known and much loved like Freya or Holle. Others, like Tamfana, Artio or Liuba are much less known and have been almost forgotten.
In her book, Joanne presents a Goddess wheel of the year, unique to Gemany. She has lived and worked intimately with all the goddesses mentioned in her book, and assigned them a place on this wheel, where they archetypically hold the energy of Crone, Mother of Air, Maiden, Mother of Fire, Lover, Mother of Water, Mother and Mother of Earth. Although Joanne is a trained archeologist, this is not an academical book. It is a very personal book in which the goddesses, although based on scientifical research, are anything but academical theoretical concepts, but very much alive. It is offered as inspiration and with the clear invitation to form your own conection to and deepen your own understanding of the goddesses.
